Dr. Werner Gives Smiles for Miles

Since 2003, The American Dental Association (ADA) has participated in “Give Kids a Smile Day”, a volunteer initiative providing free educational, preventative, and restorative services to children from low income families. Last week Dentist Judson A. Werner and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue celebrated their 10th annual “Give Kids a Smile Day” together. This year, 20 of our Club kids were given $6,600 worth of dental care that included free cleanings, exams, fluoride and fillings. Without our partnership with Dr. Werner, annual dentist visits would not have been possible for some of our kids. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue are grateful to have community partners that not only provide health services, but the time to cultivate meaningful relationships too.

Thanks for another year of purely whites!

In 2006, a handful of our kids visited the dentist for the first time in their lives thanks to Dr. Werner, and have had the opportunity to come back every year since. Many of our kids who have participated in “Give Kids a Smile Day” since our partnership began are now on their way to graduating from high school and some have even joined the Marine Corps! We are thankful Dr. Werner has chosen us each year in his efforts to give back to “Give Kids a Smile Day” and hope to visit next year! Thanks again!
